HCC Black History Scholarship Gala is one of Houston’s premier Black History Month events. Terrence Howard, critically acclaimed Broadway and screen actor who starred in movies suchas: The Best Man, Crash, Idlewild, Red Tails, Iron Man, Ray and Hustle & Flow, will be the keynote speaker at, the Hilton Americas - Houston at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 23. The scholarship gala raises funds to support deserving HCC African-American and African heritage students. Last year, 11 students were awarded a $1,000 scholarship to assist with the cost of tuition and books.
