Postpartum Support International
Postpartum Support International (PSI) is an international network focusing on perinatal mental health and social support. The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women often experience during pregnancy and after the birth of a baby.
Our Vision
It is the vision of PSI that every woman and family worldwide will have access to information, social support, and informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. PSI promotes this vision though advocacy and collaboration, and by educating and training the professional community and the public.

Mission
The mission of the Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force is to remove barriers to prevention, screening, and treatment of prenatal and postpartum depression in Los Angeles County. We accomplish our mission through community partnerships and collaborations that train and support health professionals; inform and educate consumers, policy-makers, and opinion leaders; change the way that care for prenatal and postpartum depression is organized, paid for, and delivered; advocate for public policies that increase screening and offer family-strengthening evidence-based, culturally competent services.
Vision
The Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force, through its members and partners, is envisioned to be a regional resource for training, expert advice, up-to-date clinical knowledge, consumer referral, model programs, and advocacy for mothers, infants and families affected by perinatal mood disorders. These efforts will contribute to an improvement in the overall health and well-being of mothers and infants and to a reduction in the burden of illness for women and offspring that is associated with untreated or inappropriately treated maternal mental illness.
