4:8 Fathers is a group of Fathers in Birmingham, Alabama that are sponsoring The Birmingham Purity Ball.   The ball is an opportunity for fathers to make a commitment to be men of purity not only in action, but in thought and emotion as well.  They are exhorted to live according to what it says in Philippians 4:8, “to dwell on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise.”  The men also promise to guide and protect their daughters in the choices of purity.  In response the young ladies silently commit to live in a godly, pure way and they commemorate this by laying a white rose down at the foot of the cross.
