Australian Museum Members
Australian Museum events are designed to educate, entertain and excite.
Australian Museum Members began in 1972 to support and promote the work of the Australian Museum, Australia’s first Museum, by providing a forum to highlight its exhibitions and scientific research. We provide an arena for the discussion of wider scientific, social and cultural issues, but most importantly, we enable the community to become directly involved in the Museum's activities. Today, Members of the Australian Museum receive a number of benefits, including free general admission to the Australian Museum all year, the Explore magazine, 10% discount at the Australian Museum shop and its eateries, email newsletters, discounts on events including Night Talks, Sleepovers, Workshops, School Holiday Programs and much more.
