The Academy (Physical Agility Practice Sessions)

WSTB Practice Sessions (please read carefully):

South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium (The Academy) offers optional Practice Sessions for the Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB). The WSTB is an entry level physical agility test which consists of the following segments:

a. 99 yard obstacle course
b. 165 lb Body Drag 32ft
c. Chain Link Fence Climb 6ft
d. Solid Wall Climb 6ft
e. 500 Yard Sprint
f. 1.5 mile run (completed in 14 minutes or less)

During your optional practice session you will receive instruction and practice in the Obstacle Course, Body Drag, Fence Climb, Sprint and 1.5 mile run.

The established qualifying score for most agencies is set at 320 as its minimum entry level requirement for the WSTB phase and a 14 minute maximum time for the 1.5 mile run. (Tests are given rain or shine.)

Except for the inclusion of a 1.5 mile run, the physical agility test otherwise mirrors the WSTB physical agility test standard required for graduation from a California P.O.S.T. accredited peace officer academy.
