The CDP is a national initiative designed to empower cultural enterprise with high-quality data and resources in order to strengthen the performance, vitality, and public impact of the arts, culture, and humanities. Its powerful, online data collection and management tool allows users to track financial, operational, and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions and budget sizes. Cultural advocates, public policy makers and researchers turn to the CDP as a trusted source for reliable, longitudinal data on the sector.
Founded in 2004 and incubated within The Pew Charitable Trusts, the CDP became an independent nonprofit organization in April 2013. With more than 14,500 organizations contributing data, the CDP is made possible by a robust network of public and private funders.
