"Real Training for Real Firefighters"

Wichita HOT is a non-profit, annual, fire school held throughout the greater Wichita area. It is a collaborative effort between the Wichita Fire Department and the local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Leatherheads (FOOLs.)

Every year we bring in some of the top instructors in their respective fields to provide a wide array of training to firefighters throughout the country. We make every effort to provide this school at a minimum of cost to the students as to make it available to the greatest number of firefighters from every walk of life and every size department. Volunteer or career, rural or urban, we offer training that will help our students serve their communities better and champion of the best traditions within the fire service.

Over many years of operation, Wichita HOT has grown from a handful of local instructors teaching mostly local firefighters to a nationally recognized event that has hosted students from across America and other countries. We hope you'll join us.
