The Central American Integration System (SICA) is the economic and political organization of Central American states since February 1, 1993. On December 13, 1991, the ODECA countries signed the Protocol of Tegucigalpa, extending earlier cooperation for regional peace, political freedom, democracy and economic development. SICA's General Secretariat is in El Salvador.
As a non-profit membership association, SCAE has established an enormous network of coffee lovers and industry professionals across more than 90 countries worldwide, with many also working through a National chapter that offers a programme of coffee events, training workshops, competitions and social activities on a local level.
About the ICO
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) is the main intergovernmental organization for coffee, bringing together exporting and importing Governments to tackle the challenges facing the world coffee sector through international cooperation. Its Member Governments represent 98% of world coffee production and 83% of world consumption.
