Thompson Karate Foundation (Dr. Cynthia L. Thompson)

G.M. Cynthia Thompson is the president/CEO of Thompson's Karate Academy Foundation, NFP, Girls-N-Gis All Female Martial Arts Tournament, and Kick the Streets martial arts program. Currently, G. M. Cynthia is the founder of Shodo Ryu martial arts and holds the rank of 8th Dan Shorin Ryu martial arts. She has been competing on the local, national and international circuit since 1983. Presently, she is on the WKA-USA Team which will travel to Crete, Greece this year.

Her passion for the martial arts extends itself to women adovcacy, community service, mentoring and promoting, education, health, fitness, and wellness. As well as advancing the status of women in the martial arts. Girls-N-Gis offer college scholarships to graduating high school seniors and women over the age of 35 returning to college.
