The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
The Royal Botanic Garden is an oasis in the heart of Sydney. Established in 1816, it is the oldest scientific institution in the country and home to an outstanding collection of plants from Australia and overseas.
People visit the Garden for peace, relaxation, education and to learn more about plants and horticulture. Entry is free but some special events are ticketed.
We provide a range of community events, classes, tours and children's activities led by our expert Education Rangers, Horticulturalists, Volunteers and Specialists. For our full What's On calendar visit our website.
