The Millburn High School Autism Awareness Club

The Autism Awareness Club, formed in 2012, spreads awareness of autism to our school and community along with the message of compassion, understanding, acceptance and inclusion.  The club also participates in fundraising for Autism Speaks, the world's largest advocacy and science organization.  Current club events include bake sales, raffles and organizing the annual Dance-a-thon.  Each April, the club participates in Autism Awareness Month by decorating the school hallways in blue, handing out blue light bulbs for the international Light it up Blue initiative and spearheading the efforts to have April proclaimed as Autism Awareness Month in Millburn Township.
