Sertoma Centre's Mental Health Services department provides psychosocial rehabilitation, community support, and therapy services for Medicaid funded or private pay clients.
As a whole, Sertoma Centre strives to provide opportunities that empower individuals with disabilities to achieve personal success. In working with a variety of mental health issues/struggles, we hope to not only serve the consumers of our treatment services, but also the social support systems that they rely on.
Because our consumers' support systems play an integral role in their recovery, our Community Education Deparment provides mental health education and prevention programming to community members and professionals. Trainings have been provided to high school students, college students, residence life staff of colleges/universities, university police officers, church congregations/staff, and the staff of social service agencies. We are committed to educating the community about mental illness and reducing the stigma that often surrounds such topics.
Please see our website for an outline of the training options that are available.
