Renal Run™ Tulsa

Our Mission: On August 5, 2008 Retired Tulsa Police Sgt. Mike Garner’s 10-year battle with kidney cancer ended and our mission began. In the months following Dad’s passing we struggled with the tremendous loss, eventually looking for a bigger, far-reaching way to remember, and honor him. Raising money for The Kidney Cancer Association became our mission and the race in his name became our healing therapy.

On the surface the Renal Run™ 5K appears to be just another spring road race with food, cold drinks, and live entertainment. But, if you dig a little deeper you will see it is a celebration of life and an opportunity for people in Oklahoma to show their support for an individual who impacted the lives of so many Oklahomans on a daily basis for over 30 years – whether they knew it or not. Help us continue our Dad's legacy of service by helping those whose lives have been touched by this disease.
