Gary Simon is the Executive Director of Sacramento Juneteenth, Inc. a non-profit organization. He's coordinated the Sacramento's Juneteenth Festival since it's inception in 2001. He served as the director of Multicultural Affairs for the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau from 1996 to February 2014.
