Presented by L.A. Zine Fest

Before there was the L.A. Zine Fest, there was Team False Start.  We wrote that mission statement back in February 2011. Since then, we’ve been fortunate enough to conduct workshops at Meltdown Comics, the Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp for Girls, the Craft and Folk Art Museum, Renegade Craft Fair, Patchwork, and Unique L.A.  Through the generosity of friends and like-minded folks, and with a little help from a very successful Kickstarter campaign, we were able to raise enough money to make this dream a reality. On February 19, 2012, over 1200 people attended the first annual L.A. Zine Fest.
