"Uncle Pat" Hardage
PineWoodDerbyWorkshop began in my garage with my son's Den in 1994, and we made sawdust there till I retired in 2013 and moved to Missouri. Texas friends asked for support with their Derby cars ... so I refitted a forty-five foot charter bus into a rolling woodshop. I think it's the only one of its kind in the country.
I started Cub Scouts as a kid in 1952 back in Amarillo, and I have been a Den Leader, a Cubmaster, and a Scoutmaster. Now I'm just "Uncle Pat."
I love building PineWoodDerby cars in my woodshop, espceially when the shop is aboard Big Sally. (My mother was tiny, less than shoulder high, and I figure she'd appreciate the joke.)
I really enjoy watching kids' faces (and their parents') when they figure out a particularly tricky bit.
Life is Good.
