PACT helps everyday people win extraordinary victories by teaching them how to speak, act, and engage in the public arena for themselves through grassroots organization.Founded in 1985, People Acting in Community Together is a multi-faith, grassroots organization that empowers everyday people to create a more just community. Faith and local neighborhoods in downtown and East San Jose united to manifest change for impacted locals in the Silicon Valley.PACT provides leadership training and experience to community members of diverse ethnic, faiths, and socio-economic backgrounds. PACT collaborates with neighborhoods and faith communities to transform Santa Clara County into a more just and equitable region. Through PACT, people work together to solve the most pervasive social problems of our day, including:

• Failing public schools,
• Housing that is too expensive for thousands of working families,
• A Broken pathway to citizenship,
• Racial inequities in public safety and criminal justice,
• Lack of affordable health care,
• And, unsafe neighborhoods and poor services.

PACT is an affiliate of the PICO National Network, one of the largest grassroots community organizations in the United States, representing more than one thousand religious congregations, schools, and neighborhood institutions and one million families in 150 cities and towns. PACT also works with its 20 sister organizations in the PICO California on common statewide issues to improve housing, education, and health care for all people.
