The Ohio Latino Affairs Commission has three key mandates: to advise the Governor and General Assembly on issues that affect Ohio Latinos, to connect Ohio Hispanics to each other and to Hispanic-serving agencies and organizations statewide, and to build the capacity of Ohio Hispanics and Hispanic-serving agencies and organizations. 

OCHLA's Public Policy Center - whose mandate is to advise, achieves it's goal partially through events like Hispanic Legislative Day.
