Noelle Mickey, Katie Adams and Rich Whiddon, CMP

Noelle Mickey, Katie Adams and Rich Whiddon, CMP have a combined 60 years experience in the Hospitality and Destination Management industry. 

 

Noelle Mickey

With over 20 years in the event planning industry, Noelle Mickey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position as Destination Manager for Exclusive Destination Management.

Noelle began her career as a manager for Players Incorporated, a company specializing in high profile event management and public relations in Miami, Florida. During her time at Players Inc, Noelle assisted in producing the Barry Gibb Love and Hope Tennis Festival, a four day celebrity/pro/am tennis and golf tournament benefiting diabetes research. She then went on to produce the opening of both Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill and Patrick Swayze's Mulholland Drive Café. Local dignitaries and celebrities attended both of these high profile and very successful openings in the Miami area.

Following her tenure at Players Inc., Noelle went on to become Director of Sales for DECO Productions, a full service destination management/production company specializing in corporate event planning. As Director of Sales in the West Coast office, Noelle oversaw all the planning and operations for all DECO's corporate clientele. Noelle assisted in planning everything from airport transfers to theme parties, entertainment, tours and activities. 

Following her five years with DECO Productions, Noelle went on to spearhead the opening of the Registry Resort's in-house destination management division. As Director of Special Events for the Registry Resort, Noelle worked with the resort's corporate clientele to manage all of their destination needs. Under Noelle's directions, the Special Events department grew to include a full-time event staff of six, a complete floral department, as well as a transportation division.

Noelle spent four years with the Registry Resort and then went on to an Account Executive position with one of the largest destination management/event planning organizations servicing the State of Florida. In her position as Account Executive, Noelle oversaw the event planning for top incentive partners including Maritz Travel, BI, and McGettigan's

 

 

Katie Adams

With over 25 years in the event planning industry, Katie Adams is a seasoned hospitality industry professional and brings a wealth of experience to her position as Destination Manager for Exclusive Destination Management.

Katie began her career in 1987 as Sales Manager for ME Productions, a full service destination management/production company specializing in corporate event planning. During her time at ME Productions, Katie was President of HSMAI and for three consecutive years assisted in producing the Lipton International Players Championship, a ten day celebrity/pro/am tennis tournament in Key Biscayne, Florida. As Sales Manager for ME Productions West Coast office, she oversaw the planning and operations for their corporate and incentive travel clients. Katie assisted in planning all facets of their programs, from airport transfers to theme parties, entertainment, tours and off-property activities.

Following her tenure at ME Productions, Katie went on to become Assistant Director of Sales for the Registry Resort's in-house destination management division, working with the resort's corporate clientele to manage all of their destination needs. Katie eventually took on the position of Director of Special Events, supervising a staff of six full time event managers, as well as a complete floral department and transportation division.

Katie spent four years with the Registry Resort and then went on to become Director of Sales with local production company Eventz Inc. In her position as Director of Sales, Katie was instrumental in the development of the company's corporate and social client base. Under Katie's direction, the company's annual revenue increased by more than 80% within a four year time span.

 

Rich Whiddon, CMP

With over 20 years of Hospitality Industry experience, Rich Whiddon founded Exclusive Destination Management in the spring of 2005 on the philosophy of Service over Volume. His goal was to provide each client with individual hands-on attention and service from the planning stages through to actual operation of the program on site.

Following graduation from Florida State University, Rich was hired by Walt Disney World to train in the newly formed Disney Management and Development Program which taught new graduates the many facets of the Disney Resort Synergy and award winning service standards.

After leaving Disney, Rich furthered his hospitality career in the field of Destination Management. After 6 months in the Operations Department of one of Florida’s largest DMCs, Rich moved into sales, and from 1999 to 2004 earned the award for Top Revenue Producer in Orlando. His team also received the Highest Customer Satisfaction rating out of 21 sales teams company wide, 4 years in a row.

After multiple years of service to his loyal clients, Rich took the leap of faith and began Exclusive Destination Management, with one main goal: “Provide the best Destination Management and Meeting Services possible to EDM’s clients.”

EDM has exceeded Rich’s initial goals and expectations, garnering a reputation in the industry for superior hands-on customer service. With the addition of EDM Naples, along with affiliates in Miami and Palm Beach, that goal continues to expand throughout the state of Florida
