Nathan Prevost

Nathan began his dance career at the San Francisco Ballet where he spent 2 years followed by a 3-year stint in a show called "Dance Between the Lines" choreographed and directed by legendary choreographer Anne Marie Garvin. That show's success brought it and Nathan to L.A. and the world famous Roxy Theater on Sunset.

Nathan immediately began studying under Roland Dupree, Joe Tremaine, Joe Bennet, Claude Thompson, Hama and Jackie Sleight.

After winning the grand prize on the original "Star Search," Nathan was one of the most sought-after talents in the nation.He went on to become Paula Abdul's favorite dance partner, accompanying her on her acclaimed "Under My Spell" world tour, appearing in several of her music videos and the Emmy Award-winning opening number of the 1990 "American Music Awards."

Nathan has worked closely with such stars, directors and choreographers as Michael Kidd, Reba McEntire, Michael Peters, Beyonce, Mel Brooks, Mia Michaels, Brandy, Jack Nicholson, Spike Lee, Robert Zemeckis, Blake Edwards and Rob Marshall, to name just a few.

Nathan's teaching career has taken him all over the world, from workshops in Canada and Japan to the dance conventions "L.A. Underground," "Dance Caravan," "Access Broadway" and currently "American Dance Projekt." He also teaches every week at Hama's Dance Center in L.A.

Nathan co-founded Dancers' Alliance in 1989. Wrote, produced and directed the "Dancers' Guide" in 2003, won an "L.A. Theater Critics' Choice Award " "Best Choreography" in Hollywood.

He has choreographed, directed, produced or appeared in over 30 national commercials, more than 100 industrial shows, and dozens of television productions.Music videos for the artists: Jason Mraz, Sugar Ray, Smashmouth, Harry Connick Jr. and many more.Over 20 feature films including the Academy Award winners "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Forrest Gump," "Boogie Nights." And the hits "Austin Powers Goldmember," "Rent," "The Mask," "Be Cool," "500 days of Summer," the list goes on....

Recently Nathan was credited as choreographer and assistant director of the hit play "The Good Steno" at the Hayworth Theater in L.A.. He was also the lead camera operator on the controversial feature film "Naked Boys Singing", 2nd unit director and segment producer on the documentary film "Nuts and Bolts."

Nathan's was also the choreographer of an episode of the crime drama "Life" on NBC, a dancer on multiple episodes of the show "Eli Stone" and a dance-double opposite Molly Shannon on the sitcom "Kath & Kim."

Nathan's versatility, experience, thorough knowledge of dance, professionalism and positive energy make him an invaluable asset to any project.
