Now entering its 13th year, Canada's Top 100 Employers is an annual competition to recognize Canada's best places to work. Our project aims to identify the companies and organizations that lead their industries in attracting and retaining employees. The Globe and Mail calls our competition "an instant bible for HR professionals and job-seekers". More reviews»
Our national winners are announced in a special editorial supplement published by The Globe and Mail, with detailed Reasons for Selection published exclusively on our job search engine, Eluta.ca. Each year, our editorial team writes over 250,000 words explaining why each of the winning employers was chosen, providing transparency as well as guidance to employers and job-seekers alike. This year, our editors reviewed the recruitment histories of more than 75,000 employers across Canada and invited 12,500 of these to apply.
Our editors also manage a series of well-known regional "top employer" competitions with 23 newspapers and magazines, which announce the winners in extended editorial features each fall. In addition, our editors manage seven special-interest competitions recognizing the nation's best employers for family-friendlyworkplaces, diversity, environmental values, recent immigrants, fast-growing workplaces, young people and older Canadians.
A blue-ribbon academic Advisory Board oversees the selection criteria for each year's competition. The distinguished panel members, drawn from universities across Canada, have each written or edited a major HR textbook in Canada.
