The Wellness Way Columbia

Dr. Jeremy Maxwell, D.C.

I grew up in Pleasanton, CA and graduated from Amador Valley High School in 1992. I then went to York, NE to attend York College on a soccer scholarship and to attain my under graduate studies in pre-Chiropractic. It was in York where I met my wife Shelby, who is from Rhinelander, WI. We married in August of 1995. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated in June of 1999. I had a practice in Fayette, MO., from April of 2001 through June 2018, and now practice in Columbia, MO., since 2005. We have 4 wonderful children Aiden, Myya, Emi and Zechman.I absolutely love what I have been called to do, and that is to help families maximize their health potential through Chiropractic. No other profession gets to intimately work with the innate healing potential the Creator placed in each of us like the Chiropractic profession. Every day we get to witness lives changing and health improving by turning on the power of the human body through spinal corrections. When the brain and body can talk without interruption, the Creator’s design can do what is was designed to do and that is to heal on its own. We look forward to the opportunity of sharing our passion for living healthy full lives and taking part in your health goals.

Dr. James Hamilton

My chiropractic story started with my mom. She had been suffering from chronic migraines, and fortunately our neighbor recommended my mom to try their chiropractor. After finding relief from her daily migraines, my family began regular maintenance care with an upper cervical chiropractor. When we moved to Salisbury, Missouri we continued care with Dr. Jeremy Maxwell.

While I was in high school I made the decision to pursue Chiropractic as a career. I attended undergrad at North Lake College in Irving, Texas, and Parker University fro chiropractic training. At Parker I received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Anatomy, and in Health and Wellness. In 2017 I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic, and have been practicing in Salina, Kansas since.

 Dr. Jessica Smith

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and started seeing a chiropractor at the age of 12. I struggled with horrible migraine headaches and had multiple volleyball injuries. After my first adjustment, I knew I wanted to become a chiropractor. I went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. There I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, a Master of Nutrition and Physical Performance, and my doctorate in Chiropractic. I also have a teaching certificate in middle and high school science and middle school math.

My passions in chiropractic are women’s health, pediatrics, and pregnancy. I obtained a Webster Certification for pregnant women with the International Chiropractic Association and I am working towards my pediatric diplomate. I also plan to become a doula, post partem depression counselor, and a lactation specialist. I was drawn to the Wellness Way lifestyle due to my own personal experiences. I was diagnosed with Ovarian and Uterine cancer and went through so many worst case scenarios. I want to help other women in my situations work through their worst-case scenarios and help them win their fights naturally and come out on the other side healthier than before. Whether it is with cancer, infertility, or pain, I want to help everyone live their best life and not sit on the sideline.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy time with my daughter, dogs (2 Dobermans and 1 border collie), and playing volleyball.
