Marc Robert Wong, TeenTechSF Founder and GLOBAL Chair

TeenTechSF is an interactive tech community run by and for teens committed to providing equal access to tech opportunities to all youth because diversity fuels innovation. Since launching in 2013, TeenTechSF has connected over 500 students at 32 diverse Bay Area schools with tech leaders from Apple to Zynga and organized events with speakers from Khan Academy, Google, LinkedIn, Cisco, and Oracle Team USA. In 2014, TeenTechSF went global with the inaugural TeenTech GLOBAL Youth Summit livestreaming from Plug and Play, Forbes' "Silicon Valley Tech Accelerator of the Future," doubling participation to 1000 teens on five continents on a mission to innovate, collaborate, and create for a better world!

Founder and Global Chair, Marc Robert Wong, speaks four languages and founded TeenTechSF as a sophomore studying for the French Baccalaureate Scientifique/OIB at International High School in San Francisco. Also an ISTP alumnus, he is on the SF Public Library Board of Advising Youth designing a MacArthur Foundation funded Digital Learning Lab, "The Mix," opening June 2015. A recipient of the Samsung Tech Scholarship, Marc has invented two apps, interned with WeGame, StoryTelling Media, TechCentralSF, and worked as a beta tester for Google's Chrome notebook and Blizzard Entertainment's Hearthstone game.

Marc was the first student and youngest plenary speaker at the 2014 MLF French Global EdTech conference in Zaragoza, Spain. Last summer, Marc worked as a research assistant and programmer for UCSF's Gazzaley Neuroscape Lab using cutting-edge Oculus Rift and Kinect technologies to explore how physical effort affects cognitive training. In October, Marc was selected for the ESA LOFT Innovation Fellowship and was flown to Washinton DC for White House and Congressional briefings on video games as a unique platform for social impact and STEM diversity. In June, Marc expects to receive his French Baccalaureate and has been accepted early at Stanford.
