Longue Vue House and Gardens
Founded by philanthropists Edith and Edgar Stern, Longue Vue House and Gardens is a multifaceted historic estate featuring a world-class house museum and eight acres of stunning gardens that include an interactive Discovery Garden for children of all ages.
As a National Historic Landmark that serves as one of New Orleans’ premier education and cultural resources, Longue Vue is open seven days a week to the public for tours of the home and gardens, special events and programs. Our mission, to preserve and use the historical and artistic legacy of Longue Vue and its creators to educate and inspire people to pursue beauty and civic responsibility in their lives, is fulfilled through innovative programming and interpretation in the areas of art, design, horticulture, preservation, and civic engagement.
