Living Without Limits Living Large Inc. & Texas Black Women's Initiative Houston

Living Without Limits Living Large Inc. is a non-profit support group in Houston, Tx.  We create an atmosphere where heterosexual people infected and affected with the diagnosis of HIV/AIDS can embrace everyday life with new beginnings and expectations.  We empower individuals to stretch outside of the box, reach forward to the future, reach back to help others and enlarge their territory, teaching them there are no limits or boundaries to the future in store for them.  We assist individuals to reach their hidden potential and to unlock, discover and activate their purpose for living.  We challenge and inspire individuals to stand up and live life with meaning and effort.

The Texas Black Women's Initiative (TBWI) Houston is one of seven teams initiated in 2010 by the Texas Department of State Health Services to address the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black women in Texas.  TBWI Houston members represent a diverse group of community-based organizations, public health department staff and individuals working to mobilize and empower Black women in the fight against HIV/AIDS.  The Houston team has developed an action plan unique to the greater Houston area.  The team is focusing on promotion of its WOW (Women of Worth) bag intervention, working with faith-based institutions and coordinating events to promote awareness.
