Kayleen Larson Legacy Foundation

Kayleen Larson Legacy Foundation has been put together to raise funds for organizations that help families who are dealing with childhood cancer.  It also raises funds for pediatric cancer research groups that put emphasis on research.

Kayleen Larson was just 8 years old when she was diagnosed with Luekemia (AML).  It is a rare and hard cancer to put into remission.  She  went through 6 rounds of Chemo and exeprimental treatments at the Minneapolis Childrens Hospital from March 8th, 2012 to April 9,2013. The cancer was far to aggressive to get under control. She was sent home to hospice care and passed away on May 3rd, 2013.

The first 5K event was put on to raise funds to support the family of Kayleen throughout the long ordeal.  After Kayleens passing, the 5K continues to raise funds in her name to assist other families and pediatric cancer research.
