Open for membership on LinkedIn in July of 2008, KC IT Professionals is a grassroots IT focused community in the Kansas City area. Our organization is comprised of almost 8,000 members, ranging from top executive level management and below, and encompasses a vast array of technology related skillsets. Hundreds of corporations, small businesses and startups are represented by our membership.

We aim to build and strengthen the IT community in Kansas City in order to increase  collaboration and encourage innovation.

Our platform consists of 3 components:

Networking: Our networking events allow IT professionals to build relationships and create business opportunities.

Knowledge Exchange: We hold roundtable and/or single presenter sessions on various IT related topics, exercising the expertise of our senior members.

Philanthropy: The charitable arm of our organization: We leverage the valuable knowledge, talent and generosity of our members in order to assist non-profit entities by creating efficiencies via technology solutions. Since March of 2009 we’ve donated over 240 hrs of volunteer effort to helping Harvesters, UEP Kauffman, MOCSA, Truman Heartland Foundation, and more.
