Junior League of Brooklyn

The Junior League of Brooklyn (JLB) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The JLB was established in 1910 by women interested in fighting the health and social problems associated with over-crowded tenement neighborhoods. It is one of 293 Junior Leagues comprised of more than 155,000 women in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States, united through the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI).

The JLB is a self-sustaining 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by dues, grants, corporate sponsorship, internal fundraisers and special fundraising events in the community.
