Founded in 1998, the Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation (GZBF), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Pasadena, California. It is also a “social action” partner of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc.'s Gamma Zeta (Member) Boulé.
The GZBF’s signature initiative is the award-winning, high school-aged male, LAMP Mentor Program, which focuses on developing the skills of leadership, achievement, management and professionalism in students from underrepresented and minority communities, in particular African-Americans. Students who participate in and successfully complete the program’s curriculum are eligible to receive scholarships to help offset the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees and books.
The program is primarily funded by generous donations made by a ‘who’s who’ of professionals, business and community leaders and public officials, many of whom attend and participate in the GZBF’s Annual LAMP Mentor Program Luncheon.
