Darrell Michael

Darrell is a veteran of the United States Air Force (1980-1990).  He is currently a police officer with the Amite City Police Department and is devoted to helping veterans of the United States Military.  In 2013, Darrell, along with several committed volunteers, created and hosted the 1st Annual Run for the Warriors, which raised just under $30,000 for WWP via sponsors and nearly 200 participants.  If  you have any questions,  please don't hesitate to contact Darrell.

Caveat:  Toward the end of May, 2014, Darrell learned there was already a non-profit organization using the name "Run for the Warriors".  Immediately upon learning this, he contacted the President of that organization, notified her of the conflict, and took immediate action to change his company/event name from "Run for the Warriors" to "Runners for Heroes".

Runners for Heroes is now supporting the charity organization DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS.  While Wounded Warrior Project does great work, DAV supports ALL American veterans, not just those who have suffered injuries following the attack on our country on September 11, 2001.
