Dabney Dwyer, Episcopal Diocese of Dallas (214 500-7205)
Dabney Dwyer is an advocate for the poor and oppressed. Her passion is building bridges from the church to the community, sharing the light of Christ with those having physical and spiritual needs. Born in Virginia and a cradle Episcopalian, Dabney received a B.A from Randolph College, an M.A. from Virginia Polytechnic and State University, a certificate in Gerontology from Southwestern Medical Center as well as in Mediation from El Centro.
Dabney’s earlier career was primarily in the healthcare industry including fifteen combined years with Harris Methodist Health System, Kaiser Permanente and Children’s Medical Center. In 2000, Dabney began her own consulting services for nonprofits. Dabney has over 30 years of experience in strategic and business planning, operations, management, consultative and facilitation services.
Dabney is currently Missioner for Outreach for the Diocese and leads the Missional Church Commission. She is also the External Ministries leader for Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
