Central California Asian Pacific Women (CCAPW) and Building Our Future-Fresno Chapter

has been empowering women from the Central Valley by providing scholarships and leadership training, as well as convening community leaders on topics impacting Asian and Pacific Islander Americans.The Building Our Future-Fresno Chapter is part of a community campaign that launched in 2013 to build a movement in the global Hmong community to end abusive international marriages and other forms of gender-based violence. 

Both Building Our Future-Fresno Chapter and CCAPW partnered in a project titled Organizing Youth For Social Change: Building a Movement to Achieve Gender Equity in the Hmong community. Organizers have been conducting a series of workshops for Hmong youth to explore harmful cultural practices that perpetate and contribute to domestic violence, and how to identify healthy versus abusive relationships along with safety planning.
