Allison DeSalvo's World of Song

Allison DeSalvo is a popular teaching artist and children’s songwriter/entertainer with a background as a professional singer/actress. She founded World of Song Productions (WOS) in 1992, and shortly thereafter created the Music, Art & Me Program, and more recently YogAmi~Kids Yoga, Allison has shared 30+ years of experience and training in music, dance, art and theater at recreational centers, ‘arts in education’ workshops, private and public schools in NY since 1991, and in PA since 2005.  She taught Pre-School for 6 years, was the children’s programmer at the Swarthmore Public Library, and is a co-founder, and former program director of The Creative Living Room. Her work has expanded to include teaching at various local non-profit organizations and providing outreach to underserved communities in the area. She writes songs and stories for kids, and won the Children's Music Web Award with her debut album of children’s music 'Happiness Is All Around You' featuring a colorful collection of traditional and original songs.  Allison’s heart centered, multi-arts approach to teaching nurtures children in a loving spirit of learning and joy.
