Alameda County Community Food Bank
Our mission is to alleviate hunger by providing nutritious food and nutrition education to people in need, educating the public, and promoting public policies that address hunger and its root causes. We are the hub of a vast collection and distribution network that provides food for 275 nonprofit agencies in Alameda County. In 2013, the Food Bank distributed 26.5 million pounds of food – 54% of it fresh fruits and vegetables.
