America today is much different.  We are a much more diverse melting pot.   New cultures, traditions, products and techniques have come here to thrive and help fuel a new creativity.   We care about where our food comes from, how it’s grown and prepared.  There are local farm markets, wine tastings, home chefs, food channels, artisan producers, farm-to-table and so on.  It’s fair to say that our original charter to educate America’s palate has been a resounding success.    With New American Mondays our focus will be to elevate our palate:  to explore, learn and experience the local, artisanal, multi-cultural and cross cultural influences at work in today’s food and wine scene.
