Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (after care till 6 PM available for an additional cost*)

Teacher: Brian Clegg

Do you love watching movies and wondered how they are made? Are you the next Martin Scorsese or Francis Ford Coppola? Then join us for a two week journey into the art of filmmaking.

Second Week:
We will continue an overview of animation, documentary, and narrative film styles and techniques. Learn the different ways that filmmakers communicate with audiences through the medium of motion pictures. We will watch many examples, and learn about how movies are made from idea to final cut. We’ll learn to write, storyboard, shoot, and edit movies using digital video equipment.

We will also work in small groups to create real movies! We will put our knowledge and experience to work as a team to create short films.

*Parents interested in after care should contact Leslie Weinstock, Director of Summer Programs at lweinstock@gardnerschool.org or Sue Blount sblount@gardnerschool.org for more information. Pre-enrollment in after care is required.

>>>PRIOR TO ENROLLING, if you need the sibling discount code, please contact Leslie Weinstock to receive it.
