The two-day COMPASS V CONFERENCE brings together concerned citizens, advocates and activists working for social, economic and environmental justice from around the state of Tennessee. This is THE progressive gathering of the year in Tennessee. The theme of Compass V is We're All In This Together.
Friday, May 16th is WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER DAY, 9 AM to 4 PM. Progressive leaders from around the state spend the day sharing information, networking and strategizing about building the progressive movement in our state. This year there will be a special strategy session for Key Tennessee Leaders conducted by George Healey and Sandra Hinson of the Grassroots Policy Project (GPP).
The TAP CELEBRATION takes place on Friday, May 16 at 6:30 PM at St. Ann's Episcopal Church, 419 Woodland Street in East Nashville. The Celebration will consist of food, wine, TAP's Long Haul Awards, and wonderful silent auction items. Jim Hightower, America’s #1 Populist has been invited to be our Keynote Speaker.
PEOPLE'S DAY AT COMPASS V is Saturday May 17th and will include:
workshops, film, keynote speakers, networking, the 2008 Elections, music, and a special Hip Hop Workshop.
