So you think you’re ready to go “green” with your public relations efforts? It’s time to find out the overall relevance behind these hot and timely “green” trends, better understand who the consumers are, identify the challenges in communicating your “green” efforts, and generate solutions that can help your products or services become one of the “in” brands.
During this lunchtime session, we’ll explore:
• What is green?
• Why is there so such a focus on green?
• What’s being said – why all the chatter?
• Implications of green public relations
• Who are the influencers? Why understanding them makes sense
• Why it’s not easy understanding and communicating green
• Solutions
This session will be led by Columbus, Ohio-based Colette Chandler, president of The Marketing Insider. She is an expert in showing companies how to profit from consumer environmental (green) and health trends and understand the consumers influencing them.
Chandler is a regular contributor for Green Lodging News, writes a weekly blog and has been featured in various national and international publications such as: Enterprising Women Magazine, Resort & Recreation Magazine, TreeHugger.com, and 4hoteliers.com.
Additionally, David Beach, founder and executive director of EcoCity Cleveland (which recently merged with CMNH), will speak on what the museum is doing in the way of “green” initiatives.
