Cultural awareness and Business communication in China

The seminar is delivered in small groups with maximum participation. You will receive knowledge and insight from both a Chinese native and a Western perspective to cover both sides of inter-cultural communication.

What you will achieve:

Gain insight into Chinese inter-personal networking and Chinese culture affecting business and personal relations.
Avoid culture shock, anticipate cultural differences and learn to break the ice
Collect strategies for adaptation of message and Communicate in China efficiently and clearly
Understand Chinese business etiquette and negotiation skills

Presented by:

Yu SUN , A cross-cultural consultant with a particular focus on Anglo-Chinese communications in Business. Previously working with Shanghai government as a project manager, Yu Sun has worked on many international projects between China and Britain.

Roy GRAFF, China business professional speaking fluent Mandarin Chinese, expert on China's tourism and hospitality sectors. Managing Director of ChinaContact, market entry specialist for the tourism industry.

On the 29th of May (Thursday) a special event is held with a talk on the challenges and opportunities arising from Beijing hosting the Olympic Games and a networking reception. If you register for the cultural awareness workshop you will receive a special discount for the event of 50% off the £35.00 ticket. You may select the combined ticket in the registration form above. The event is a charity fundraiser for victims of the earthquake in Western China.
