"Show Me the Money - Understanding and Calculating Return on Investment (ROI) for Training Activities"

Learning and development within organizations is moving from an activity based process to a results based process. Organizations cannot afford to provide training without measuring its impace on the bottom line. This workshop will provide participants with information on how to measure return on investment (ROI) for training and performance improvement programs.

Based upon the work of Jack and Patti Phillips from the ROI Institute, participants will explore the myths and mysteries of ROI, and learn how to use ROI to measure the effectivementss of a performance improvement intervention. The key processes and standards for using ROI and barriers to implementation will also be discussed. Participants will learn how to identify learning program benefits, convert these to a monetary value, identify intangible benefits and calculate an ROI.
