Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PT)
Volunteering is a great way to show your love for the planet! In celebration of Earth Day, the Environmental PORTAL, in collaboration with EarthCorps and Nature Consortium, will be co-hosting a very special Earth Day Festival at Cooper Elementary School on Saturday, April 19 as part of Duwamish Alive! So mark your calendars!
The day will kick off with a habitat restoration work party running from 10-2pm at Pigeon Point Park (behind the school), to be followed by a cook-out and open house from 2-5pm. There will be delicious food, icy beverages, live entertainment, art displays, environmental education activities, nature walks, and tables featuring many of your favorite organizations. Plus there will be a wide variety of other fun and informative activities! Our Earth Day Festival promises to be fun for the whole family. We hope to see you there!
