Event Details
Mark Manning, a leading navigator and owner of AR Nav Supplies, will present a three hour introduction to navigation for adventure racers. The class will include information needed to complete an adventure race, including:
How to read a topographical map
How to plot UTM coordinates
Taking and following bearings
Distance estimation and pace counting
Gear: All participants will receive a Brunton 8010G compass suitable for adventure racing and a Basic Roamer AR navigation tool, included in the cost of the clinic. In addition, participants will receive a topographical map
for future practice.
The clinic will be held at Aquan Sports in Belmont California.
