Caersws Cup Downhill Race Series Sponosred by Astix Bikes
The Caersws Cup is for new and up coming riders to cut their teeth and gain experience of Downhill racing.
Race organiser Chris Roberts said, “Caersws is the perfect venue for this series, the best uplift means more time riding and exciting courses makes for exciting racing. There is already a good entry of new and older riders on the start list.”

Midland Down Hill Championship 2008
The Midland downhill champions will be crowned for each of the categories at the final round of the series on Sunday 29th June. This is open to anyone who lives in the midlands area as defined by British cycling. This race will have Double BC ranking awarded.

Location:Situated in the heart of beautiful Mid-Wales between Newtown and Machynlleth
Background: Caersws is a private forest used for regional and national races over the past 5 years, we ran the first race at Caersws in 2003 which was won by Marc Beaumont riding for Royal team.Since then four courses have build by the local riders to make this an ideal place to run a series on 3 different courses.Rich Bobalong from the Brooks Cycles is constantly building and improving the courses to give you the best riding experience.

The Courses at Caersws are ideal for testing the abilities of all types of riders.
The course for the first round is the original Midland Course that flows it way down the edge of the forest and finishes in the big open arena making this an ideal place for spectators to watch all the race action.
Live Timing
The latest Tag Huer timing system displays your time as you cross the finish line.Results are printed within 5 minutes at the end of each category.All riders are reseeded for the there second runs.
Podium Presentations
The Top 3 in each category are awarded a quality trophyAstrix Europe will be on site display the latest bikes and to hand one lucky person the latest Astrix hard tail frame at each round of the series.
