Event Details

This presentation will focus on Health Care Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Informed Consent, HIPPA Laws, DNR orders and organ donations. Ms. Jerse will facilitate a question and answer period where attendees are encouraged to bring real life cases to discuss the Hospitals’ and Physicians’ approach to family decision-making. Shannon Fogarty Jerse is a 1988 cum laude graduate of Cleveland State University where she was editor of the Law Review. Ms. Jerse was in private practice at Arter & Hadden until 1990 and then went in-house at University Hospitals of Cleveland until 1998. She became Associate Regional Counsel for the Regional Hospitals of the Cleveland Clinic in 1998 and still serves in that position. Shannon has extensive experience in medical ethics, end of life decision making, confidentiality of medical records and the HIPPA Privacy Regulations.
