SARTA is committed to engaging members and the regional tech community in quality educational programming. This series of seminars is designed to provide local technology, non technology companies and emerging entrepreneurs with strategic workforce development training. Each session is approximately 3 hours in length and is held at our partner locations across the region. SARTA recruits speakers and panelists from the private sector who have many years of expertise in subject of each seminar.

Drexel University sponsors the Leadership Series because the eleven doctoral and master’s programs it offers at its new Center for Graduate Studies in Sacramento are designed to advance the development of the region’s next generation of leaders, and for the working professional who sees the coming opportunities to step up in their careers.

This Month's Seminar:

Topic: Advice on Advisors: How to Engage and Leverage Advisory Boards and Professionals

Course Overview

What are the keys to successfully building an Advisory Board for your early stage venture? Who do you go after and why? How do you attract them to your venture? What can you expect from them in terms of value and contribution of time? Similarly, how you do you get a capable attorney, banker, and accountant on your team? When do you need them? What are they looking for? Come hear an experienced CEO and investor share his “behind the scenes” experiences on these topics as well as those of a panel of seasoned professional service providers. Attendees will hear discussions covering the following and much more:
