Florida Classic Career Expo and Diversity Job Fair

On Nov. 20, Bethune-Cookman University and Florida A&M will go head-to-head at the Florida Classic, an annually anticipated season-ending challenge at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. However, recently the real statewide challenge has been finding work for the 1.1 million Floridians currently unemployed.

In an effort to give back and show support to those who have long supported the game, the Florida Classic is proud to kick off their Classic weekend with the inaugural Florida Classic Career Expo and Diversity Job Fair.

Open to the general public, the Expo and Job Fair co-organized with Florida-based workforce organization JobsDirectUSA and in collaboration with Orlando's premier job board OrlandoJobs.com, will provide college students and working professionals of all ages’ opportunities and education about employment possibilities. Attendees will have the chance to meet with top businesses and hiring companies throughout the state, take part in workshops facilitated by local career coaches and attend lectures by feature guest speakers.

With 12 percent of the state’s labor force currently unemployed, the Florida Classic Career Expo and Diversity Job Fair will help many out-of-work residents hopefully find new employment in time for the holiday season.
