About The Event:
According to the latest MoneyTree Survey* data, venture capitalists (VC)
invested $7.1 billion in the 3rd quarter of 2007, a slight drop from
the previous quarter of $7.2 billion and a bigger drop from the 1st
quarter of $7.5 billion. Is this a sign
of ongoing stability, or a pending slowdown?
With the U.S.
economy facing increasing uncertainty, what will these investment data mean for
2008? What sectors will the venture
world be interested in, and what sectors are already over-hyped and
over-invested?
In our first event of the year, we bring
together a panel of distinguished venture capitalists, and ask them to examine
the investment landscape and look into their crystal balls. Where will VCs likely put their money in 2008? What sectors are hot? What sectors are not? Will China be the next bubble? Will green-tech be the next savior for
investors?
