This open exhibit will be held to showcase pictures, essays, and poems made by youth from Sausalito/Marin City schools and Talmapais High School around the theme “We Are All Guardians of The Dream”.
As part of the MLK Youth Creative Art Contest 2008, attendees will be considered as judges in the contest by voting for their preferred artwork in each of the categories: Pre-School; K-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-8th, and 9th –12th.
The event is being organized as part of the preparations for the 10th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration, where contest winners will receive cash awards for their accomplishment.
The Marguerita Johnson Senior Center, located at 640 Drake Avenue in Marin City, will be the venue of the exhibit on Thursday, January 10th, from 4 to 7pm.
