Miami-Dade Assistive Technology Awareness Partners Incorporated (M-DATAP)announces its second annual Assistive Technology Awareness event to be held May 1-3, 2008. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the capability of assistive technology to empower, educate, and include persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.
The event will include a variety of presentations, exhibits, and demonstrations by vendors and community agencies as well as recreational activities and art displays.
Envision the Possibilities:Focus on Education and Inclusion will take place at NOVA Southeastern University, Miami Student Education Center, 8585 SW 124th Avenue, Miami, FL 33183 on Thursday, May 1, 2008 (preconference activities) and Friday, May 2, 2008 (full conference day).
Envision the Possibilities: Focus on Recreation and Leisure Access will take place at Miami-Dade County NFL/Y.E.T. Center, Gwen Cherry Park, 2591 NW 71st St, Miami, FL 33147 on May 3, 2008. It is free and open to the public.
Deadline for refunds and changes in registration is April 11, 2008.
