Event Details

The Chinese Culture Center annually offers four sessions of Mandarin classes for adults and for children. Mandarin Learn and Play for Children is designed for 3- to 6-year olds, and is held in a classroom adjacent to the adult classroom. The emphasis for children is on learning a beginning Mandarin vocabulary through songs, games and story telling in a fun and relaxed environment. This is not an immersion program and English is also spoken in the classroom. The children will work on Mandarin vocabulary appropriate to their level of learning. Simple words and phrases and some character recognition is taught through worksheets and stories of China. There is discussion and introduction to Chinese culture through crafts and songs. Class size is limited to 10 students. Children’s Class Schedule: January 19, 2008 - March 29, 2008 10:00AM - 11:30AM Children Class Tuition - $145 per child for CCC members, $160 per child for non-CCC members. _________________________________________________ ALL CLASSES ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
